If you’re not on the list, then you’re not getting your morning cup of joe.
Writer and comic Jena Kingsley says there are two things that annoy her: not being able to get on a bouncer’s list at a club and not being able to get coffee in the morning. So she decided to combine the two in a social experiment that’s been posted to YouTube.
“I wanted to see what people’s reactions would be,” she said.
Kingsley set up shop outside a Starbucks in New York City and convinced people that they either needed to be on the list to get coffee or make a reservation.

“In all of my pranks, or social experiments I have been amazed with how cooperative New Yorkers are,” Kingsley said. “They are unfazed and I couldn’t believe how many people got in line.”
